HacktionLab is a non profit-making collective. We need to pay out money for food and organisation prior to the event based on the number of people who sign up. Please do not register unless you do intend to come.

If you have health problems or limited mobility please read these notes and, if necessary, contact us to make sure we can meet your needs.

BarnCamp is a DIY event. We will spend the first 2 days (7th and 8th June) setting up and a fair amount of the last day (12th June) packing up.

If you have any other questions or to discuss concessionary prices email us at barncamp2017 [at] hacktionlab [dot] org.

Paying

This year the basic cost of BarnCamp is £35 in advance (please make payment by Tuesday 6th June) or £40 on the door. If you can afford to pay a little more, it helps make it possible for us to offer discount to those who are less able to afford it. Please indicate how much you're planning to pay:

£35

Making it happen

What with organising the barn, putting up tents, marquees and signs, making sure the compost loos are decent and setting up internet facilities on site, there's quite a lot to do in advance. Are you able to come near the beginning to help set up this DIY event?

I can arrive early to help set up.

Once the party's over, someone's got to clean up! There's marquees, tents and signs to take down, things to be cleaned and packed, food to be sorted out. If you can stay an extra day (until the afternoon of Monday 12th) to lend us a hand, let us know.

I can stay late to help tat down.

BarnCamp is a DIY event and we like it when everyone gets involved, in fact it really helps to make it work. Can you help out with any of the following?

Food

All cooked meals will be vegan. Do you have any other dietary requirements that we ought to know about? E.g. coeliac, allergies, etc. We can't guarantee we'll be able to cater for everyone, but we'll do our best.

My dietary needs are

BairnCamp

Kids are welcome at BarnCamp and there is no charge for camping, though we would appreciate a donation towards food. We aren't able to provide crèche facilities this year, but kids are most welcome at BarnCamp, and we are able to make space available for them. If you are planning to bring kids, do let us know how many will be coming using the box below.

Your suggestions

In addition to the programmed workshops, there will be plenty of time in the schedule for open space BarnCamp sessions for you to propose your own workshop or discussion. If you've a suggestion for a session, such as something you'd like to present, demonstrate, discuss or even find out more about, use the space below to tell us. Tell us also if you have something you'd like to perform on our Saturday night stage, or films you'd like to show on Friday night.

My open space and/or performance ideas are...

Do you really mean to sign up?

BarnCamp is a small volunteer run organisation. Recently we've been getting lots of spam sign-ups (from the try-rx.com domain for example). This costs us time to go in and delete people; time we could better use organising the event. If you're engaged in spamming websites, we respectfully request that you leave ours alone and find another one to spam. Many thanks for your help and understanding in this matter. If you're not a spammer, then happy to have your here; please go ahead and Register and we'll see you in June.
